In the small village Hedeby there is a lot of excitement. The skald Bragi Boddason has landet with his dragon boat. By the fire, he tells his stories about Thor, the god of thunder, the Rainbow Bridge, the connection to the world of the gods, and the encounter with the Midgard Serpent.

Two children, Einar and Elin, are forcibly sneaking into the hall where the villagers are listening to the stories and are hiding in a box on the ship of the Skald. Suddenly it rumbles under the feet of the children, and as they look through a hole in the box, the ship suddenly is on the open sea and approaches an encounter with gods, trolls and the Midgard Serpent.

So it happens that brave children sneak aboard the dragon boat in the same way and embark on a wild sea journey. First, the children meet a great dreading troll as the boat suddenly plunges into the depths, down into the realm of Utgard. Escape from the darkness, the journey leads past waterfalls back to the sea, where the crew must look into the ugly face of the Midgard Serpent, before they return to safe harbor.

The Midgard Serpent is designed especially for the little kids. Not very high built and still fast-paced, the roller coaster should inspire those who do not dare because of the height on the Racing Roland. The Midgard Serpent thus completes the roller coaster offer down. For this roller coaster, the manufacturer Gerstlauer from Münsterhausen has paid special attention to the train. A new bar system has been developed and an independent bar lock designed for each seat. New types of seats make it possible to transport children from one meter upwards.

After the success of the Curse of Novgorod, HANSA-PARK has put a lot of emphasis on the theming and the story of its new roller coaster. At the start of the journey you will find yourself in a dark room where Bragi Boddason greets his guests. The chamber is decorated with fabrics and skins. As the passengers listen to the skald, the train will be drawn up a pitch black hill. At the end of the lift, with the help of a wall of mist, you will see eerie mythical creatures come closer and closer, before the gates open and let the sunlight in. From this highest point, the train speeds up into a second building, past cliffs and bones, past the Midgard Serpent. Here the snake shakes it's head and shows her huge teeth. And with the short films on the attraction, the story about the two children Einar and Elin will be much more tangible.

The exit finally leads through two shops. On the left is Elin's Vafflejern, where you can get round waffles with different toppings. To the right, the path leads to EinarLei. The shop offers toys and stuffed animals on the subjects Vikings and snakes. Among them are puzzles and patience games, wooden swords and shields, helmets and hats. Driving photos taken in the underworld "Utgard" can be printed and taken with you. In addition, here is a stock of soundtrack CDs to the Midgard Serpent available, which contains beautiful songs from the realm of the Vikings, as well as the soundtrack from the Multi-Media & Special Effect Show of 2011.
