Bumper cars are actually on every fairground. And if the conventional driving have become too boring, then the Space Race is just right for you. Because your task is to be the first to reach and successfully dock all space stations of our nine system planets. Complicated when all other players have the same goal and mercilessly evict their opponents from the room. In addition to driving a phaser must be additionally operated, which is why the Space Race is a successful co-op player solution.

Even with this fast moving ride, the focus was on innovative technology. The 110 volt operating voltage is no longer fed into the car by an umbilical, but directly through the bottom plate on which the vehicle is located. This technique is called Floor Electrical Pick-Up. Strip-shaped ground segments were offset from each other and connected to the circuit with different polarizations. In order for the vehicles to receive the necessary tension, several pantograph brushes have been fitted under the chassis so that at least two ground segments with different poles always have contact with the vehicle. Bridge rectifier circuits in the vehicles coordinate the changing poles and also avoid short circuits during operation. Due to this technique, access to the pitch is possible only through the entrance and the exit. The area must be secured against unauthorized entry at any time while driving.

The complete scooter is embedded in a science fiction theme, and part of the futuristic Hall of Stars. Nevertheless, light projectors, floodlights and disco ball ensure a funfair atmosphere, while techno-beats push up the necessary pulse. In 2006, matching the Football World Cup in Germany, the Space Race was renamed Space Soccer. A large rubber ball and two goals on both ends make an intergalactic football game perfect. In the following year 2007 the system was rebuilt again to the Space Race.
